Mirror of Mayhem A yo fam!. Whaz goin' on? I back this week followin' tha wack trak o' revenge an' why it madd crazy an' leaves a trail o' death, destruction, heartache an'crippled soulz. Las week we peeped dat when katz "pay back" they be actin'tha Devil, cuz they takin' tha Place o' God, an' His prerogative to judge. Yo, what wuz dat agin? "Vengeance is Mine, says the LORD. I will repay." Deuteronomy 32:35 Yeah, we could spend a month or two of spillage on this Heat. Apostle Paul bringz it wit dis jawn: "Therefore you are without excuse, every man of you who passes judgment, for in that you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who practice such things. And do you suppose this, O man, when you pass judgment upon those who practice such things, and do the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God?" Rom. 2:1-3 Check it: "…you are without excuse, every man of you who passes judgment…" "But, sun, he wuz mah roaddog." "She wuz mah homegurl." "It wuz mah O.G. makin' me," "I had to bump this mission to be down, etc." Yo, almost soundz like some Germans after WWII. Yeah, tha reasonz may be many, an' may sound, an feel right. But, when we execute judgment in God's place, in His eyez--we are without excuse. Les go on: "…for in that you judge another, you condemn yourself, for you who judge practice the same things. Mang, iz dat str8! Yo, if a G wreakz havoc an' smokes a kat who smoked they homebwoy, in God's eyes dat don't pay for nuttin. Dat don't honor they memory. All dat G done proved iz dat he/she ain't no different or bettah than tha perp who shot they homie in tha first place. God kutz thru all tha barrio folklore an' urban mythology about revenge killin' an' evenin' tha score honorin' a dead homie, etc. wit a simple sharp life equation: If you judge another? you condemn yourself. Period. Case closed. Pero why? Why be God pullin' tha ice grill? Simple: "..for you who judge practice the same things." Yo, God knowz ya heart, G. He made U, homegurl. He know jus how U tick, an' what be goin' on deep inside, ese. He knowz dat any katz who retaliates for some offense—real or imagined—R prolly also madd provokin'an' bringin' drama theyselves at some otha time o in some otha sitchiashun. Like tha sayin' goez: U point a finger at som kat/they be three pointin' right back at. lol So, it no surprise when Apostle Paul bustz a hollow-point: "…the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who practice such things." Yo, didn't tha Hero of "The Passion" check one o' His tightest homiez, Peter, after he lopped off a guardz ear in retaliation wit: "Put your sword back where it belongs. All those who use swords are destroyed by swords." Mt.26:52 Or fast-forwardin': "All those who strap an AK, get smoked by an AK." Yo, it don't matter whether U lived in tha 1st C, or livin' in tha 21st C, A.D. It don't matter whether U peepin' tha King Jamez or tha B-Bwoy Translation. Tha Truth be tha same. It Eternal. What a kat sowz, he/she reapz. Itz tha life Principle of sowin' an' reapin'. An' dat ain't changed since back in Granpappy Adam'z day. So wit madd logic Apostle Paul defly concludes: "And do you suppose this, O man, when you pass judgment upon those who practice such things, and do the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God?" So, if U be "takin' care of bizness" an' at the same time bringin' bloody beef yaself, U really think U can jus lay low, like God ain't seein' stuff? U think He a buster? U think U can be a knucklehead, an U ain't gonna catch it? Dat U can play God like spadez? " U buggin' sun! Whachu thinkin'? U think we afraid of dyin', o getting' capped? If they take out one of ours, mang, we take' out one o' theirs. Death don't scare us, ese. It ain't no thang. Yo, it happen erry day in tha barrio. That tha code o tha street, homez. That tha way it IZ." True. To some extent. Mebbe to a large extent. I hear an' feel dat. But it ain't tha whole Reality. An' it ain't tha way God peeps it. Check it: "It is appointed for man to die once, then face the consequences." Heb 9:27 True. It ain't no thang. An' it ain't no game… I'm out. Peace. ONE sun |
