What Jesus Wants

A yo fam! Az y'all know they lotta media spillage an' ruckus goin' on right now ‘bout Mel Gibson's film "The Passion of the Christ." As I spit earlier on tha Gangstyle message boardz, I ill plan to see it, cuz I need to. I need to see what Jesus went through to save may sorry a—er—self from God's Righteous Judgment and to see Love in action. Yo, peep what Jesus spitz about Love—an' I don't mean dat sentimental, gushy imitation dat lotta R & B songz be taken up wit:

"Greater love has no man than this, that one lay down his life for his friends."

Yo, Jesus ain't spittin' about layin' a life down, like homebwoyz sacrificin' they life in a revenge killin'or a drive by to retailiate fo' tha death o' anotha homebwoy. Nah, He spittin' ‘bout layin' down His own life—willingly—for us. Well, why did Jesus go an' do dat? Dat sound like bein' ignorant. Dat ain't "street smart."

Well, fam, we could spend tha next 50 "Heaven 4 a G" articles droppin' that Science tha way it should be dropped. But, I wanna touch on a few reasons why Jesus died, hopin' tha Holy Spirit will go deep into ya mind an' heart wit it.

One reason Jesus when to an' thru tha agony o' tha Cross was that the God the Father wanted Him to. Yeah, U heard me. God wanted Jesus to die. An' if the Truth be known, God killed Jesus. Mo' than that, God was pleased dat Jesus sacrificed Himself. Check it:

"But the LORD was pleased to crush Him, putting Him to grief: if He would render Himself as a guilt offering." Isaiah 53:10

Yo, don't get it twisted. God wasn't pleased in tha sense a sadist gets pleasure in torturing and causing severe pain. God's the Father's heart broke when Jesus—God the Son--was crucified. No one can ever fathom the limitless pain' that God experienced when the sin of the world was laid on crucified Jesus. At that moment, wit tha Sin of tha whole world on Jesus, God the Father had to separate Himself from God the Son. At that unbelievable moment Jesus experienced Hell—spiritual separation from God. That's why Jesus cried "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?!"

Yo, what pleased God was that Jesus paid the penalty for our sin—for ALL our sin, and took the blow of God's Righteous Judgment on sin with His own Body and Blood. When the Father axed, Jesus up an' obeyed. Jesus offered Himself in our place, as our Sin-bearing Substitute. Now, a Holy God could let Hisself show infinite mercy and full forgiveness. God could now fully pardon and restore any sinner who want relief from they sins and from a sinful lifestyle, an' who trust Jesus to be they Sin-Bearer--they Savior. Yo, because Jesus took the full force of God's Wrath on Hisself, God can show mercy, give full forgiveness, an' eternal life to any believer in Jesus, without compromising His Righteousness and Justice.

"Aiight," U spit. "Soundz koo." U say. "But," U continue, "what does Jesus get outta dis whole Deal?" "What do He want?" Yo, Jesus wants…us. He wants—an' treasures--any an' all peeps who believe in Him to save they soulz, an' who get down wit His Plan to completely establish God's Kingdom on earth. Jesus wants to have Relationship wit, Love, chill wit His Redeemed Christ-Ones…Forever. Yo, peep what Jesus prays to the Father the night He wuz arrested:

"Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given me, be with me where I am, so that they may see My Glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world." John 17:24

Yo, if U readin' dis, an' U feelin' dat nobody loves U, nobody cares about U or what happens to U, dat U all alone, an' abandoned, my dear, precious fam, they iz One who madd Loves U--more than life itself. That be Jesus. He died a horrible death an' rose again to prove His Love be Pure, True an' Everlasting. I know in tha wretched wackness of life, it can be hard to feel this. But, it True, fam. This life don't always gotta be bug, nor will it always be dat way. If U come to Jesus, He will come into ya life, an' be durr fo' U—in this life, no matter how bug it get—an' in the Life to come, where there will be no pain, an' He will wipe erry tear from our eyes. Yo, peep tha las thang Jesus spit befo' He ascended:

"…and, lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Yo, the Cross--The Passion of The Christ--is Jesus' Proof, His Pledge, His Promise that this will be so, if you trust Him to save you.
