Public Defenders Actually Picked Me

Today was my first day working 4 the county defenders here. Can't believe they actually picked me. I applied for this internship program and when I heard there was an opening @ the defenders office, I wanted it but doubted I'd get it. Lo and behold I got it!

Course they dont know anything about what I've been thru, But it feels so different to be on the other side of this. It's like having to step back and look in from the outside at what you've been living. I've been thinking a lot about going into Juvenile Corrections and I was talking to one of my supervisors about it, he's gonna hook me up with a buncha people. This firm handles both adult and juvenile cases, felony and misdemenor. He said he'll talk to the lawyers about taking me with them and then also actually having me go 2 the juvenile place and sit and talk w/ them 2 see if this what i really want to do.

It's kind of scary to be placed here though...it'll be really easy to be seen by the WRONG people, since I have to do a lot of running back n forth between the jail, the court, and the offices. But so many people mis understand all of this...i dont know as much as some, but i know more than most and i feel like now is my chance to do something...i couldn't help my brothers but maybe this is my chance to do something right for once?
