Our streets are filled with wannabe and non wannabe gang members commiting crimes to fit in with the people the admire most. These people are the inner city gangsters. Now that it is the year 2000 gang members seem to be in every city in america, and they are flooding the school systems and the juvenile centers. What many new recruits of gangs do not realize is what will happen to their future. I see foolish teenagers all over the net claiming to be from notorious Los Angeles gang sets which most of the original members are rotting in a jail cell today. It is out of control and I see even kids posting "war stories" to this site such as "i am from crips" which does not phase me or any other readers, I don't see any reason why any of us should care what neighborhood you claim, I am not here telling everyone my past gang affiliation, I am up here because my message is to get through your minds. The Gangs in Los Angeles alone such as the Crips and Bloods has doubled and even tripled in the past 25 years since the beginning of the conflict. There has been recent releases of CD's, Tapes, and films that focus on the conflicts of Crips and Bloods. Especially Teenage favorites such as snoop dogg. Making films with the involvement with gangs does not do anything for this country and it's "problem" except increase it. These Rap stars make money off of their own gang involvement through fans. The Media has made numerous gang documentaries, films, and television shows focusing on gangs. I will not name any of these but I will say that there has been too much attention to these two gangs. I have heard rumors of a full length feature film about Crips and Bloods which disgust me greatly. These films will not only cause Controversy but will cause the sprouting of "wannabe" gangs across america double what it was. We need to stand up against this disease of gangs and help our youth, encourage them of other ways, and now that we have a good economy just about anyone can get work. I suggest it is time to make a change in this country and the only way we can do it is by giving less attention to these gangs. These rappers and entertainers need to stop glorifying crime, the media needs to stop their obsession with gangs and the film industry as well. They make us in the black and hispanic communities look bad by using us as objects of the ghetto, coming to our neighborhoods and filming ghetto movies, even for the rappers who claim to be from the "streets" they need to stop thinking about themselves and start thinking about how their movies and what they say affects this country and it's youth. Today I notice many youths in a "color" war which took place in the late 70's and mid 80's between Crips and Bloods, It seems to be happening in small cities filled with wannabe gangster Crips and Bloods. In Los Angeles today the number one killer of Crips is the Crips. In 25 years The Crips have killed each other more then any Blood gang alone in Los Angeles County. There is no longer color wars like as in Brooklyn or other New York areas, such as the wannabe Rollin 30's of Harlem,NY and the wannabe Lenox Avenue Bloods of their own Harlem,NY. In Los Angeles today, the battle is the drug war. The drugs are how many have gotten far in the ghetto community and caused many to be "ghetto rich". You youths need to stop the bullshit and start waking up. Froglok |
